Take a journey through the solar system with the Planets Mobile Craft Activity! This interactive craft helps children explore the solar system, planet sizes, and the order of planets while building fine motor skills and creativity. The mobile provides a fun and visual way to reinforce important science concepts about space.

In this activity, children will create a mobile that features the planets of the solar system. They can use construction paper or foam balls to represent the planets and cut them into appropriate sizes based on the real planets' relative sizes. For example, Jupiter will be the largest, and Mercury will be the smallest. After decorating each planet, children will attach them to a string or yarn and hang them from a hanger or a craft stick to create their own solar system.

As children assemble the planets on the mobile, they will practice fine motor skills, including cutting, gluing, and arranging the planets, improving their hand-eye coordination and dexterity. The activity also helps with spatial awareness as children arrange the planets in order from the sun to Pluto (or Neptune, depending on the model they use).
