Make Paper Leaves

Embrace the beauty of autumn with the Make Paper Leaves craft activity! This fun and educational craft helps children practice their creativity, fine motor skills, and color recognition while making colorful leaves out of paper. It’s an excellent way to celebrate the fall season while also developing important early learning skills.
In this activity, children will start by drawing or cutting out leaf shapes on colored paper or construction paper. They can then decorate their leaves using markers, crayons, stickers, or glitter to represent the vibrant colors of fall—reds, oranges, yellows, and browns. This process strengthens hand-eye coordination, dexterity, and attention to detail as children carefully cut and color their leaves.
As children work on their paper leaves, they’ll also explore color recognition and patterning as they decide which colors to use and how to arrange them. This activity allows for creative expression while helping children learn about the natural world and the changing seasons.
