Fire Truck Ten Frames

Ready to help the fire truck crew with some counting? The Fire Truck Ten Frames activity is a fun, engaging way for children to practice number recognition, counting, and problem-solving while using fire truck-themed images to make math more exciting.
 

In this activity, children will use ten frame cards featuring fire truck images. Each card will have a certain number of fire trucks represented on the ten frame, and children will need to count how many trucks are on the card. They will then fill in the blank spaces with additional fire trucks (or use small objects, like pom poms) to complete the ten frame to match the correct number. For example, if a ten frame shows 4 fire trucks, children will need to fill in 6 more to make 10.
 

This activity reinforces number recognition as children identify and count the fire trucks, helping them understand that numbers represent quantities. It also supports one-to-one correspondence, a key early math skill, by having children match the quantity of objects (fire trucks) with the correct number.
