Ready to go on a fun counting adventure? The Find and Count Chickens activity is an interactive way for children to practice counting, number recognition, and observation skills by searching for and counting toy chickens or chicken-themed objects!

In this activity, you can hide small chicken figurines or chicken cut-outs around a designated area (indoors or outdoors). The goal is for children to find and count how many chickens they can spot. You can make the activity more challenging by adding different numbers of chickens to count and matching the correct number to a corresponding card or area.

The activity encourages number recognition as children identify the number of chickens they find and connect that number to the right number card. This helps them practice counting and one-to-one correspondence, a foundational skill for early math development.
