Bicycling

Ready to get active and explore the outdoors? Bicycling is an exciting physical activity that promotes balance, coordination, and overall fitness while helping children develop gross motor skills in a fun and enjoyable way.
In this activity, children will ride a bicycle (with training wheels or without, depending on their skill level) in a safe environment such as a park, driveway, or bike path. Start with short, controlled rides to help children get used to pedaling, steering, and stopping. As children gain confidence, they can ride longer distances or try riding on different terrain to increase the challenge. You can also turn it into a bike obstacle course or set goals for distance to make it more engaging.
Bicycling helps children practice balance as they learn to stay upright while moving. It also improves coordination by requiring children to synchronize pedaling with steering, building hand-eye coordination and foot-eye coordination.
