Unity in Diversity, or ‘Many in the One’

Unity in Diversity, or ‘Many in the One’ is a Class 6 Social Science chapter from Exploring Society: India and Beyond for GSEB students. It helps students understand how India brings together people with different languages, traditions, religions, food, clothing, art, and ways of life.
 

Through examples from different regions and communities, students explore the idea of diversity while recognising the shared values and connections that unite people. The chapter encourages respect for different cultures and appreciation of India’s pluralistic society.
 

The chapter develops Cultural Awareness, Social Awareness, Observation Skills, Critical Thinking, Communication Skills, Analytical Thinking, Geographical Awareness, Research Skills, Empathy, and Life Skills.
