The Little Prince

The Little Prince is a Class 12 English chapter from the Lapwing textbook for GSEB students. The chapter begins with the narrator remembering a childhood drawing of a boa constrictor swallowing an animal, which adults misunderstand as a hat.
 

The narrator explains how adults fail to understand his imagination, so he gives up drawing and becomes a pilot. He later keeps his first drawing as an experiment to see whether grown-ups can understand it, but usually finds them interested only in ordinary subjects such as geography, politics, and golf.
