Going to the Mela is a Class 3 GSEB Environmental Studies chapter from Our Wondrous World. The chapter follows Nita, Radha, Sneha, Rohit and their families as they prepare for and travel to a mela. Students learn about family and friends, preparing for a trip, different modes of transport, caring for elders, and safety while travelling.
At the mela, children explore different stalls, games, toys, food, rides, magic shows and shops. The chapter also introduces important community services and people such as the police, firefighters, medical attendants, volunteers, toy sellers, puppeteers and bangle sellers.
