Data Handling

This Data Handling (NCERT | Maths Mela | Class 4) is an engaging activity-based learning resource that introduces learners to collecting, organizing, and interpreting data. Students explore how to ask meaningful questions, record responses, and represent data using tables and pictographs. As shown on page 1, learners begin by identifying the correct question to find the most liked subject.

In this activity, learners interact by collecting real-life data, organizing it into tables, and representing it visually using pictographs. They analyze information to find the most and least common choices, as seen in the class survey on page 2 and the “Colourful Golas” activity on page 4.
