Want to make your vocabulary stronger? This activity helps you practice words with the endings –able and –ment. By learning these suffixes, you’ll expand your word knowledge and improve your writing.

As you explore, you’ll see that –able means “capable of” or “worthy of,” as in readable, washable, or enjoyable. The suffix –ment turns verbs into nouns, like enjoy → enjoyment or develop → development. Both endings give words new meanings and uses.

Each challenge guides you to read carefully and figure out how the suffix changes the base word. You’ll enjoy testing your observation skills while learning how words transform.
